Refund policy

All Built by Basil products are handmade in the UK, with many items produced to customer-specific requirements.

Custom & Bespoke Items

In line with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, custom-made or personalised items are non-returnable and non-refundable, unless they are faulty or not as described.

This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Custom adaptors or sleeves made for specific vehicle fitments
  • Any item produced to customer-specified dimensions, materials, engravings, or configurations

Partially Custom Orders

Where an order includes both:

  • a standard handmade component (e.g. gear knob), and
  • a custom-made component (e.g. vehicle-specific adaptor),

only the non-custom component may be eligible for return, subject to approval.

Return Conditions (where applicable)

Approved returns must:

  • Be unused and in original condition
  • Be returned within 14 days of delivery
  • Be shipped at the customer’s expense

Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

International Returns & Customs

For all international orders:

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs
  • Any customs duties, taxes, or import fees incurred are the responsibility of the customer
  • We do not refund customs charges or international shipping fees

Faulty or Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged or faulty, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery, providing clear photographs of the issue and packaging.
We will assess the issue and offer repair, replacement, or refund where appropriate.
